Spirit Day 2015!

Spirit Day is an annual effort to stand in support of LGBTIQ youth and speak out against bullying. It was created in 2010 by Canadian teenager Brittany McMillan, in response to an epidemic of widely publicized suicides of LGBTIQ youth, who had been victims of homophobic and transphobic bullying. Today’s color is purple, the color on the rainbow flag meant to represent spirit, so wear your purple clothes, change your profiles to purple and take a stand against anti-LGBTIQ bullying! And check out GLAAD’s anti-bullying resources kit for students and parents & teachers for more information.
